An item status code can indicate the current state of an item, we ship a couple of default status codes with the checklist app.
| Status | Purpose | Mark item? |
|---|---|---|
| To Do | The item is new and yet to be picked. | Unchecked |
| Skipped | Item is skipped and is not done. | |
| In Progress | Item is currently being worked upon. | |
| Completed | Item is completed | Checked |
| Blocked | Item is blocked on something. |
Pro Tip: Use item description to provide more detail if required, for example, if an item is blocked, you can use description to mention the block reason.
Item description column can be enabled under Project’s left panel > Checklist for Jira Cloud > Settings tab.
* An item moved to “To Do” will get unchecked automatically, similarly an item in the Completed state will be checked and vice versa.
