# Switch to different prioritization method

Priority methods define the relation between the Metrics you use and the Priority Score. The default priority method that we use is ICE in which Score = Impact * Confidence * Ease where all the metrics are numbers that you set on the issue to get the score.

Steps to change the priority method

- Navigate to the project
- Click on Backlog prioritization from the left menu
- Click Methods
- If you want to use an existing method, click the "use method" action on the right
- Otherwise, if you want to create your own method, click "Add new prioritization method".
